Dr. Boshnick is committed to providing the highest-quality medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care possible to her patients. She has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, acne, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis. She is passionate about cosmetic dermatology, particularly anti-aging treatments, which can help prevent or reverse the visible effects of aging caused by internal and external factors (such as sun exposure) and help restore the skin to a healthier, more vibrant state.
Dr. Boshnick earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario, Canada where she graduated with honors in Biology. She received her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean where she graduated salutatorian. She achieved United States Medical Examination scores above the 99th percentile and went on to pursue specialized training in dermatology at top medical centers around the world before residency including Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Mt. Sinai, and Oxford.
She completed her dermatology residency at Florida State University where she was appointed as chief resident.
After training, she worked in Florida while her husband completed training in pediatric neurology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. In Florida, Dr. Boshnick worked at a robust private practice. There, she performed complex skin cancer surgeries and provided cosmetic dermatology services including Botox, filler and laser treatments which she enjoyed.
She is a member of the AAD and remains up to date with the latest advancements in skin care.
Dr. Boshnick shares the same passion as Dr. Khanna to provide patients in the local community with the highest quality care.
She is excited to join the community of the Northwest Suburbs where her husband grew up and his family resides. She enjoys yoga, golf, pickle ball and following her favorite sports teams including Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs!
Marianne Rao has been a Physician Assistant since 2007, when she acquired a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences from Midwestern University. Prior to that, Marianne attended the University of Chicago where she earned an undergraduate degree. She has acquired a plethora of skills through the years, working as a hospitalist and a gynecological PA, as well as in aesthetic medicine. She is known for her passion, and her devotion to patients, continually committed to helping them achieve a healthy state of being. Marianne believes in integrative medicine that treats the person holistically and does not merely address the disease state. As a native Chicagoan with down home Midwestern values, she provides patients with the highest standard of care, just as she would give to her own family.
Mallory Jones earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She then went on to obtain her Masters in Medical Science from Saint Louis University in 2017 where she fell in love with dermatology. She enjoys the combination of medicine, surgery, and cosmetics. Mallory has a passion for helping patient of all ages and is dedicated to involving the patient in their treatment plan, allowing it to be tailored to their individual needs. Having grown up in the Southwest Chicago suburbs, Mallory has loved working at Dermatology Specialists of Illinois since 2018. In her free time, Mallory enjoys finding new fun things to do with her two kids.
Jenna Raju graduated from University of Illinois in Chicago with a Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, and obtained a Master's degree in Physician Assistant (PA) studies from Rush University in 2014. Through her previous experience working with patients in family medicine and dermatology, Jenna has had a focus on helping to manage teenage and adult acne, hair loss and skin cancer. Additionally, she has a special interest in treating pediatric skin conditions, including eczema, warts, molluscum and others. She feels it is important to educate patients and family members on their conditions, and work as a team towards successful treatment. Outside of work, Jenna enjoys spending time with her husband and four young children!
Andrea Pasminski completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. She then pursued her Master's degree in Physician Assistant (PA) studies from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) University in Boston, MA in 2021 where she was a member of the Alpha Eta and Pi Alpha Honor Society. With prior experience working in dermatology and neurosurgery, she thrives on her ability to collaborate and form relationships with each of her patients to develop an individualized care plan. She also provides excellent patient education so her patients leave well informed and satisfied. Andrea has a special interest in various skin conditions including acne, eczema, warts, psoriasis, and screening for skin malignancies. In her free time, Andrea enjoys running and training for marathons, in addition to spending time with her family.
Jaime has been a Licensed Esthetician since 2011. She is passionate about educating patients and designing custom treatment plans best suited for their skincare goals and concerns. Whether the visit is corrective, preventative, or therapeutic in nature, Jaime strives to provide a clean, comfortable and detail-oriented experience at every appointment.
Kelly has been with Dermatology Specialists of Illinois since June of 2015. She has extensive knowledge from many years of experience with patient care and cosmetic treatments offered within our practice. She offers a genuine personal approach to each one of our patients with their treatment goals and budget in mind. Outside of work, Kelly has a passion for fitness and enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 daughters, and their beloved dog Lola.
Dr. Vikram “Vic” Khanna of Illinois is a Board-certified dermatologist who has offered patients in the area dermatological care for over 20 years. He serves patients of all ages and provides general, cosmetic, and medical solutions for the skin, hair, nails, and body. He has years of extensive education and training at Northwestern University, and is a member of the Honors Program in Medical Education. His dermatological career started at Feinberg School of Medicine Northwestern University, and continued with an internship in internal medicine at the Emory University Graduate School of Medicine. He finished with a residency in dermatology at Case Western Reserve University as a Chief Resident and continues to educate himself on dermatological advances that are happening every day. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive care at Dermatology Specialists of Illinois.
